About the Event

‘A brilliant night – Alex Voysey’s guitar playing is out of this world’ The Alex Voysey Blues Band brings together 4 stunning musicians, breathtaking grooves and riffs, and a deep passion for blues. Their new show for 2021,’ Old Dogs, New Tricks’ travels through the very best of blues history from founding fathers Robert Johnson and BB King through Stevie Ray Vaughan to Eric Clapton, John Mayer, contemporary artists Joe Bonamassa, Joanne Shaw Taylor and many more plus Alex’s original blues material, all with high energy and an insanely virtuosic twist. This show will leave you feeling anything but blue! Thrilled to have finally returned to live performances this summer, and with guest keys player Peter Gill, their recent sold-out show received rave reviews. ‘Fantastic night and a huge talent’ ‘Absolutely amazing night. Can’t wait till the next one’ ‘I’ve played with a lot of good guitarists and sax players but few better than these two – mark their names and better keep an eye out.. ‘Very glad we managed to get last minute tickets – What a talent Alex Voysey and his blues band are – loved his song ‘Watch The Sky’ Alex Voysey, guitar and vocals Peter Gill, keys Geth Griffith, bass Paul Arthurs, drums
